How on earth does that make sense that Lingard is in the squad now after 5 minutes of game time yet couldn't get in after playing well for 6 months and in the two friendlies?

This is the reason I couldn't give a fuck about the england team. For a few decades now it's been about who you are and who you play for not how good you are or how you'd fit in to a system.
Must play Gerrard and lampard together at all costs .
Must play Harry kane even though he's been shit
Must take injured star from big team over much better option
Fuck Southgate and fuck the national team.

Yeah Southgate obviously realises only taking Mount as an attacking midfielder was a massive error.......as predicted......and especially after Mount had such a shit tournament

That's just fucking bizarre! Southgate bangs on about how important it is to get game time to get in the England squad, he would be better off picking Antonio so he doesn't get injured/covid playing for Jamaica!

Same could be said for Sterling, played very little last season and was absolutely shit by his standards - went onto being our best player.

I think it is more to do with the fact that Rashford and Foden are injured that he is in.

So he's missed 2 games since he joined us in January, one against his parent club and another cause he had covid.
It's hardly a lack of playing time.
As said below Foden isn't fit so surely he's next in line as only just missed out on last squad

It would be good for Southgate to have a look at Bowen (lots of noise that Klopp was) but apparently five minutes from the bench at Man Utd plus league cup games is Gareth's new selection criteria!
